OUR PROTECTIVE WINDSHIELD COATING MAKES WINDSHIELDS CRACK RESISTANT

The reason windshields are the number one insurance claim in the United States is because of defects around the perimeter which causes the windshield to edge crack from the slightest impact with a pebble or even a grain of sand in the summer months. The edge crack is the cause of approximately 80% of windshield replacements. This defect is about two inches wide around the entire perimeter which totals approximately 20 to 25% of the surface area. This area fractures 2.5 x easier than the rest of the windshield and cracks to about ten inches long immediately.  See the report, Windshield Facts  sent the Automobile Safety Center for details and polaroscopic photos of this defective area of a windshield.

Our protective windshield coating is sprayed around the perimeter to prevent this area from the slight impacts that will cause this area to crack.  This involves masking off the area and spraying on the protective coatings. The retail price for this service is approximately $90.00  for a sedan and $100.00 -$150.00 for trucks and SUVs. It takes about one hour of time. If the windshield is being replaced the coating can be applied in half the time by applying before installation
